Advisor – Public Sector Reform

The ideal candidate should have some experience in public sector governance or even institutional reform, they will most likely have a background in HR / Finance / Institutional / Management Consultantcy
Job Purpose
The purpose of this job is to contribute towards the development of the Institutional Management and Governance Division and advise the Director on establishment of entities within Dubai government
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Advises director of division on various departmental projects including the setup and transition of various governmental entities
• Assists in building the internal capabilities of the team and knowledge management system i.e. knowledge sharing and coaching
• Provides technical expertise on public sector reform and governance issues
• Ensures Dubai’s expertise in public administration is part of its world-wide brand identity
• Contributes to the management of relations with development partners
• Plans and organizes work priorities to ensure the achievement of all deadlines and that all project deliverables and milestones meet internal quality standards and the organisations requirements
• Performs other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Position Requirements
Educational Qualification: Master's Degree in relevant field from a
recognized academic institution
Someone with a relevant PHD Degree is desirable
Experience
Must possess a minimum of 10 years in a consulting position and out of which 5 years in progressive and relevant experience
Desired: More than 12 years experience in Public sector
Skills & knowledge
• Sound understanding of the government entities in Dubai, UAE & the region
• Excellent knowledge of Government protocol
• Good understanding of governance practices
