Informs and influences strategic development of the event through relevant industry research sources including trade press and customer contacts • Recognises new business objectives and communicates to the Events Director •Monitors and analyses competitive events •Develops the long term profitability of the events in conjunction with the Event Director •Day to day management of the event team alongside Events Director •Sets clear SMART goals and objectives for all reporting staff in collaboration with Events Director •Maximises individual and team performance through demonstrating effective management skills and behaviours •Collates and produces reports when required • Assists Events Director with developing key industry relationships • Budget management and financial reporting • Delivers targeted results within budget • Approves and monitors satisfactory service delivery by external suppliers • Develops in depth knowledge of the event industry • Generating new ideas for the event • Manage database building to be coordinated with all team members • Research suitable mailing lists from various sources including publications, societies, associations and list brokers, and develop new lists for the database • Analyse event activity and produce post event reports • Manages / sources content for communications • Negotiates contracts with vendors, suppliers and clients • Formulates operational plans and budgets and ensure that these costs are managed within these parameters • Prepares proposals in response to RFPs • On-site management of event staff and contractors • Demonstrates best practice in organisation events setting high standard at all times • Implements systems and procedures across team • Manages sponsors to ensure their contracts are fulfilled • Research and design of floorplans for any exhibitions
