Description

Duties and Responsibilities: •Establish and maintain financial and management procedures •Advise on strategic direction •Act as a liaison with common 3rd parties (Banks, external auditors, lawyer, insurance co.,..) •Act as the first point of contact for the auditors, and communicate with them to ensure all questions can be answered efficiently •Lead on recommendations that are suggested by the external auditors •Improve departmental processes to minimize time and optimize output of each individual •Suggest changes in procedures to minimize potential inventory discrepancies •Train, educate and assess employees in the Accounting, in coordination with HR •Define a process of authorizing and controlling expenses •Follow up on the performance of the Accountants with in-house training on new and amended issues within the line of duty •Update the Accounting Library on newly implemented laws, rules and regulations •Advise on best formulas to use in the information system to handle accounting or financial operations •Inform and plan with IT so that proper systems are adapted to match the requirements of the law and the management •Assist in the development of new procedures as needed •Research and analyze discrepancies; apply appropriate processes with correction transactions •Interpret, apply and recommend financial policies, laws, regulations and procedures •Plan the annual cash flow and monitors it on a monthly basis, anticipating possible problems •Contribute to the business plan preparation •Suggest corrective measure to reach Business Plan targets •Assist in the process of developing and reviewing budgets •Working closely with the subsidiaries’ managers to enable them to make accurate decisions. •Administer the bank accounts of the subsidiaries as requested by the management. •Follow up and maintain a good working relationship with the contacts and credit officers and manager of the different banks •Try to get the best possible deals from banks •Give support regarding any settlement of account whether Letters of Credits, Letters of Guarantees or transfers.
