MARKETING DIRECTOR

Our client is a leading Saudi Joint-Stock company focusing on Pharmaceutical and Medical Appliances across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
They produce and market medicines, medical supplies and appliances to Saudi and globally. The company has a very strong reputation with plans to sustain its growth through 2011 and expand.
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Director to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
To ensure that the marketing strategy drives the Company in achieving its strategic goals through the deployment of above and below the line marketing activity to boost sales.
Ensuring that the marketing budget is strategically deployed to ensure cost effective advertising, promotions and events to boost sales in line with the business plan.
Reporting to: VP Sales & Marketing
This position will have final authority over creative decisions
Managing: 5 staff directly & 25 indirectly
Externally marketing & ad agencies
Marketing Budget: Around 40 million SAR/ $4 million USD
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
In consultation with the VP Sales and Marketing, write the Marketing strategy for all products (existing and proposed) each year using the Corporate plan as a guide
By working closely with the Sales Directors (KSA and International) ensure that marketing strategy is adopted all over the Companys markets, detailed into clear programs and tactics to support the achievement of annual sales targets by product and overall growth
Manage the Marketing function on a day to day basis to ensure the achievement of objectives through the deployment of appropriate resources and materials
Continually seeks out innovative ways to improve the Companys position in the market and sales growth
Works closely with Sales and Business Development teams on the development of current and new markets through the introduction of new products or line extensions and deployment of appropriate marketing activities to promote Sales
Provide artistic and creative direction to the Marketing function
Ensure profit target are achieved through proper management of resources and programs for all Marketing related activities
Prepare the company annual forecast for all products, for all sectors and all markets
Manages the Marketing budget of around 40 SAR million
Management of 5 staff directly and 25 staff indirectly
Final authority over creative decisions
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Graduate in Pharmacy with degree or experience in Marketing or Business discipline
At least 2 years experience managing a Marketing department in a Pharmaceutical, Medical Supplies or FMCG Company
Experience of managing people, budgets and resources at least 15 direct/ indirect reports
Experience of managing a Marketing budget of over 20million SAR/ $5million USD
Experience of managing agency relationships
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, presentation, negotiation, assertiveness)

BENEFITS
The below is a guide only and will depend on the experience levels of the candidate
Up to SAR 25,000 per month/ $80k USD per annum base salary
In addition an excellent benefits package
Total package up to $120k USD per annum (approximate)
