Description

We are working on behalf of this leading Saudi organisation that operates across multiple sectors and is ranked as one of the largest firms in the Kingdom. They currently have a need for a Managing Director (MD) for their Ports Management and Marine Services company. This particular company provides port management to Jeddah Islamic Port as well as marine services (repair and maintenance of vessels). You will oversee all aspects of the organization, with particular attention to the business and financial management of the company. Essential functions: • Provide strategic support to the Executive Committee. • Developing business strategy • Achieve certain targets and standards, relating to efficiency, performance, generating business and profits and to maintaining quality and safety throughout the workplace. • Recommend and implement initiatives to enhance the operating profitability. • Oversee administrational duties such as billing, financial reporting etc • Maintain clear and consistent communication between the port authorities and the company. • Develop and oversee the execution of the sales and marketing operations plus plans. • To plan, direct and coordinate various aspects of the business operating areas. • Overall implementation and execution of the company’s business plan • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills enhanced by good listening skills • Ability to communicate effectively with diplomacy and tact to influence • Provide effective organization and control for the teams to meet planned objectives. • Complete accident investigation and reports. • Liaise with clients in an effort to achieve continuous customer satisfaction. • Ensure planning objectives where achieved through ongoing consultation with deputy director and managers. • Ensure safety polices and issues were adhered to for the port. • Provide immediate solutions to issues arise during the operations and port authority complains. You must have at least 10 years experience within this / a similar field, GCC experience is ESSENTIAL as is a Masters Degree in Business. Priority will be given to Saudi Nationals.
