Description

1. Job Summary The purpose of this position is to manage and lead the security supervisors and controllers and their team to provide quality security to the Al-Mashaaer Al-Mugaddassah Metro. 2. Job Responsibility 2.1 Support the Security Director to set security policy and plan security management system for MMM 2.2 Coordinate with external security agencies, planning agencies, to address security preparedness; including participation in formal meetings and committees 2.3 Organise and manage daily security operations and provide direction to subordinate supervisors and controllers regarding security activities and works of their functional areas 2.4 Ensure and develop the competence of the supervisors and controllers and provide coaching and support as required 2.5 Developing security procedures and instructions related to security duties, enforcement of MMM security regulations, maximize system response effectiveness and minimizing system interruptions during security incidents 2.6 Develop and implement plans for addressing identified improvements 2.7 Carry out the investigation and reporting on security incidents and issues 2.8 Cultivate a strong reporting culture in the Security Department and the O&M organisation 2.9 Monitor and control staff performance to satisfy the committed KPI’s 2.10 Manage and monitor the performance of security staff and ensure adherence of quality management systems & standards, compliance of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental guidelines 2.11 Assist the Security Director and participate in updating the security operating procedures and instructions due to changes in security requirements, systems and processes 2.12 Provide direction to subordinate supervisors regarding security activities and works of their functional areas 2.13 Manage the security team to ensure the security is to a satisfactory standard and within the allocated budget 2.14 Perform and carry out other duties as instructed / directed by the Security Director Qualifications and Experience 3.1 Essential · Degree holder in any discipline · Minimum 7 years of general security operations and management experience · 5 years of specific security operations and management experience within a rail industry, public utilities companies, government, law enforcement agencies or a security services provider · Skilled manager in communicating, motivating and developing staff · Politically incisive in communicating effectively with government agencies, board members, media/press, contractors and staff · Highly motivated and flexibility to work in a time-sensitive environment to respond · quickly and effectively to unanticipated high workloads, events and emergencies • Proficient in spoken and written Arabic and English languages • Ability to multi-task and analyze situations promptly and without bias so as to determine the proper course of action or alternatives without jeopardizing human safety, quality and the committed performance targets • Thorough understanding of all aspects of security as it relates to railway operations 3.2 Preferable 10 years or more in general security operations and management experience Safety Responsibility 4.1 Participate in setting the organization’s health, safety and security policies to provide a safe and comfortable environment for Al Mashaaer Al Mugaddassah Metro’s customers, clients, employees and subcontractors. 4.2 Ensure that Safety and security information is communicated effectively to passengers and the public
